Aikido is a non-competitive martial art that originated in Japan. It is a practice that is a philosophical study in human interaction, both in peace and conflict. Aikido teaches how breathing, calmness, awareness, empathy, and blending can dissipate conflict.
ABOUT
Kagami Dojo is a members-only Aikido community in San Diego, California. Our mission is to practice together to elevate our understanding of Aikido in advanced concepts. Kagami is Japanese for mirror; our aim is to allow advanced Aikido practitioners a dojo where they can be their own teacher. Senseis who are leading Keiko will generally present concepts and tools to encourage individual development. We also run a publicly accessible Aikido program at the Standley Park Recreation Center in the University City Neighborhood of San Diego.
